Soccer Shots is excited to begin a new season!

We believe that the Soccer Shots Curriculum encourages inclusive, child-centered activities, facilitated and encouraged by coaches and families, in a safe, positive, fun and welcoming environment. We believe that all children can develop socially, emotionally, physically, cognitively and linguistically, through soccer and play.

 

When you sign up your child with Soccer Shots, they will receive:

    • A jersey (included with enrollment fee)

    • A full season of soccer fun. Soccer session details below.

    • Certificates and prizes at the end of the season.

 

 

A Soccer Shots Session Includes:

    • Activities that promote development in each early childhood domain

    • A theme of the day woven throughout the session and applied to each activity

    • Character words that are succinctly defined and applied throughout each session (by coaches and participants)

    • 3 rules that emphasize the character words

    • An objective for each day’s session that describes the outcomes of the class

    • Ideas for differentiation that are provided for each skill or game, both individually and for groups of children

    • Opportunities for play and creativity

    • An emphasis on the development of soccer skills while having fun

 

What Should You Bring?

At Soccer Shots, we supply all the equipment so you don't have to bring much. See our suggestions below.

 

Clothing and Water:

    • Shirts: please have your child in their Soccer Shots jersey (if you have signed up for a season; not applicable for Free Fun Days).

    • Shorts/Pants: for our outdoor sessions, please dress your child in weather appropriate bottoms (gym shorts or sweatpants). For indoor sessions, gym shorts are typically a good choice.

    • Bring water in a water bottle.

 

Other items to note:

    • Cleats: if your session is outside, cleats are optional. If your session is indoor, please dress your child in gym / tennis shoes.

    • Shin Guards: shin guards are NOT recommend for our program.

    • Soccer Ball: we will supply all Soccer equipment, we ask you do NOT bring any soccer balls to Soccer Island.

    • Other Soccer Equipment: we supply goals, agility ladders, etc. for your child's session. You do not need to bring any other equipment!

POLICIES & PROCEDURES

 

REGISTRATION POLICY:

All registration for Soccer Shots programming must be completed online. We are happy to help answer any questions you may have. The annual enrollment fee covers the cost of a jersey, various seasonal prizes, and is non-refundable.

A minimum number of registrants is required after the first weeks session for the season to continue. Refunds will not be issued for non-attendance at a scheduled session or weather postponements. Any and all refunds/credits are issued at the discretion of Soccer Shots.

REFUND POLICY:

* Refunds will not be issued for failure to attend a scheduled class.

* Annual Enrollment Fees are Non-Refundable in all circumstances

* Full refunds minus the annual enrollment fee apply when the withdrawal of a student is received in writing 2 weeks prior to the start of any season.

* Should Soccer Shots find it necessary to remove a child from a class, a refund will be issued after deduction for classes already attended.

* Refunds will be given for remaining sessions only.

* All requests for refunds must be made in writing and emailed to a southeastatlantalc@soccershots.com, and are subject to a $10 refund fee.

* Soccer Shots shall assume no liability in the event that a season is cancelled, rescheduled or postponed due to a fortuitous event, unforeseen occurrences, or any other event that renders performance of the season impracticable, illegal or impossible. For purposes of this clause, a fortuitous event shall include, but not be limited to: war, fire, labor strike, extreme weather, natural disaster or other emergency. Soccer Shots will make every effort to offer a substitution event in the case Soccer Shots cancels or postpones due to a fortuitous event.

 

MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTIONS:

* Withdrawal of an enrollment for a subscription based program must be submitted in writing 3 days prior to scheduled payment withdrawal. Failure to submit withdrawal request 3 days prior, resulting in a payment being withdrawn, a $10 refund fee will be applied.

 

COUPONS:

* A coupon code may NOT be applied on a prior purchase, or after a purchase has been made. However, a credit may be issued to the account for the coupon, under certain circumstances.

JERSEY EXCHANGE:

* Within the first 14 days of the season start, Jerseys may be exchanged if unused, and tags have not been removed by reaching out to shipping@soccershots.com. Additional Jerseys may be purchased on our website.

MAKE-UP CLASSES & CANCELLATIONS:

* Soccer Shots reserves the right to cancel any program due to insufficient enrollment. Upon cancellation for insufficient enrollment, a refund will be made minus the annual enrollment fee.

* During spring, summer, fall, and winter seasons, whenever possible, we will use indoor space during inclement weather. If there is no indoor space available, we will reschedule or add additional time to other sessions to make up for any that are missed.

* During the winter season, if your school or center is closed on a Soccer Shots day due to snow or other weather-related issues, we will work with your school or center to reschedule or add additional time to other sessions to make up for any that are missed.

* Make up classes may be held on a different day or time than the regularly scheduled class.

* Soccer Shots reserves the right to cancel any program due to insufficient enrollment. Upon cancellation, a full refund will be made of classes remaining. Annual Enrollment Fee will not be refunded

* If the school or center cancels a session, it is subject to Soccer Shots whether a make-up date is warranted

* An email and text will be sent when there is a cancellation. If you do not receive an email or text prior to the session, please assume that the session is happening. Refunds and credits will not be given based on the assumption of cancellation.

* Soccer Shots classifies a session as complete after the intro of the session. If a session is rained out after the session has begun it will be considered a full session is not subject to a make-up.

ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL POLICY:

* Parents must sign out children from after-school programs at their childcare center. Parents are expected to arrive a few minutes before the session is complete.

If your child is to be picked up by someone other than yourself, please note authorized

Weather Policy:

* Soccer Shots uses Weather.com to determine the viability of our session on any given day. Our decision is based on rain percentage and the radar within weather.com.

* Soccer Shots will look to hold all sessions even in the rain. We are subject to cancellation when excessive rain is involved

*We hold the right to cancel any session when there is lightning within a 7 Mile radius.

*Heat Index Activity Guidelines and Rest Breaks

-May Vary based on group and ages!

-May Vary based on individual school policies!

-Under 91°F - Use discretion for intense or prolonged exercise; watch at-risk players carefully. Provide at least three separate rest breaks each hour with a minimum duration of 4 minutes each.

-91-103°F - Provide at least four separate rest breaks each hour with a minimum duration of 4 minutes each.

-103-125°F - Maximum practice time is 1 hour. There must be 20 minutes of rest breaks distributed throughout the hour of practice.

-Over 126°F - No outdoor Session

*If under 32°F at the time of the session, the session will be cancelled and rescheduled. Our determination of temperature is based on Weather.com

 

MAKE UP CLASSES:

SCHOOLS

Whenever possible, we will use indoor space during inclement weather. However not every location has an indoor option for us to use. We do want the children to receive as much instruction as possible so we will work with each individually affected school to reschedule any cancelled soccer sessions. Additionally, our schedule has make-up days (same day of week/same time) built into it for this very reason, which may just lengthen the season.

 

PARKS

Whenever possible we will play until conditions are detrimental to the children’s safety. Normally we have 1-2 make-up weeks scheduled at the end of each season to account for cancelled sessions. However, due to the abundance of inclement weather, we may at times find it necessary to reschedule cancelled sessions for other weeknights or even Saturday mornings.

 

ALL PROGRAMS

All cancelled and rescheduled sessions will be communicated to the email address on the account submitted during the registration process. Weather postponed sessions will be made up at a later date and time and will be communicated to you via email/text. If time or weather does not permit us to make-up these 2 sessions prior to the start of the next season, a credit will be issued to your account for use in a future Soccer Shots session. Make-ups, refunds, and credits are not available for missed classes due to personal reasons (vacation, illness, etc...).

 

JERSEYS:

We utilize an outside platform for jersey distribution. All jerseys are delivered via the company to your home address. Please keep in mind that they are athletic-cut jerseys and tend to run small. Your jersey will ship within 2 business days from checkout, and upon shipping you will receive tracking information via email. You can expect to receive your child’s jersey in the mail within 7-10 business days of enrollment. Please understand that if you sign up within two weeks of the season start date, your child is not guaranteed to receive their jersey before the first session. Any questions, please email shipping@soccershots.com.

Should you need to exchange sizes contact them by email at shipping@soccershots.com. You must provide your name, your child's name, your shipping address, the size you received, and the size you are requesting in the email. Please note, jerseys must be in new condition with the tag still attached to be accepted as a return. Returns are accepted up to 15 days after the jersey is mailed out and exchanges are accepted up to 30 days after the jersey is mailed out.

 

TRANSFER POLICY:

Transfers will be accommodated within the same season as long as there is room in the session. We also ask our coaches if they believe the child is a good fit to move to a different session, and we do take their response into consideration during the transfer process. Please email southeastatlantalc@soccershots.com for all transfer requests.

 

SCHEDULED BREAKS & HOLIDAYS:

There are planned breaks with no sessions on certain holidays and during certain school breaks. Please refer to the schedule and no session dates listed on the website during the registration process. Any possible changes to the schedule will be communicated to the email address and/or texted to the phone number on the account submitted during the registration process.
